Txtpeg's annual haunted house
Thank you for visiting
The TxTPEG House of Horrors finished up this past October 22-23 to great success! We hope you managed to come out to visit! We are already beginning to plan next years haunted house and look forward to seeing you then! You can continue to browse this page to see some of the details about the haunted house we just put on.
Exhibition of nightmareS:
WALK AMONGST THE WHISPERS
Your nightmares are real. Shadows that consume the soul, books that drive the mind mad, leviathans that bring about Armageddon, and more. The world is sheltered from these dangers by a covert agency, known as the SCP Foundation. With secret facilities around the world, they research, test, and catalog any items and creatures of paranormal importance.
Everyone is invited to visit a local SCP Foundation laboratory for a brand new open house titled, The Exhibition of Nightmares. Perhaps against conventional wisdom, the site director has decided to present their collection of apocalyptic oddities for the public's amusement.
Many of the tormented beings in this treacherous exhibition seek to escape by wicked and warped means. When danger emerges, hasten through labyrinthine rooms and harrowing halls to evade the otherworldly occupants of the laboratory. Or you may become a permanent addition to… The Exhibition of Nightmares.
Is it scary?
Yes! It will be scary!
What are your COVID-19 Policies?
Our crew will wear masks at all times and maintain a safe distance from you as you go through the experience. We highly encourage you and your party to wear a mask while you attend the event. Each group will go through the haunted house separately in an attempt to maximize social distancing.
What should I wear to the haunted house?
We recommend wearing comfortable closed toed shoes for walking in. High heels and flip flops are strongly discouraged.
Can I bring my purse/bag into the haunted house?
Very small purses and bags are OK as long as you leave them on your person at all times. Larger items should be left at home.
How long is the wait in line?
This is dependent on the amount of people who show up, but in the past the wait time averaged around 20 - 30 min.
Where are you located?
We will be at the UT Austin WCP Black Box. This is on the second floor of the building right next to Gregory Gym. You can go here for a more detailed map.
Do you have strobe lights in the haunted house?
Yes. Our haunted house will contain strobe lights, loud noises, and dark, confined spaces.
Is There an age limit?
Yes, we aren't allowing anyone under the age of 10.
Where Can I buy tickets?
We will have an admissions table at the event where you can purchase your tickets. We will take cash and credit card.
HOW MUCH does ADMISSION COST?
While we ask that you do pay for your admission to the haunted house, you can give any amount. Our admission is done in a pay what you want style and one ticket will allow you to go through the experience as many times as you like. Because of the costs of running our haunted house we recommend paying $7 as a fair admission price.
How large of a group can enter the haunted house?
At most 6 people can enter together as a group. Keep in mind that not everyone in a group will travel at the same speed.
Can I wear a costume?
Yes, most costumes are welcomed with a few limitations. No masks (masks that are part of standard health safety measures are fine), and no handheld props.
How long does it take to go through?
Everyone walks at a different pace; however, on average it will take 1-3 minutes to get through our haunted house.
What time are you open?
We will only be open October 22-23 from 7-10 PM.
Will they touch us, or can we touch them?
No. Our monsters will not touch you, so please do not touch them either. Accidental contact may occur infrequently as they will get very close.
I want to do a story on your haunted house, who should I contact?
I have a question that Isn’t answered here, what do I do?
This project looks cool. How do I get involved?
